Have you ever wanted to try an alternative firing method?
Are you familiar with Pit Firing and would like an opportunity to fire pieces in this way?
In this 3 day workshop, you will learn how to prepare a foil SAGGAR bundle with different materials placed around your work to maximize the color and texture of your pit fired pieces.
What is Pit Firing?
Using the Saggar method, you will wrap a bundle of material which combusts into colors and patterns around your work with tin foil. Students will layer and stack their pieces into a trash can pit on site with more combustable materials and leave them overnight to fire. When cooled, participants will learn how to clean and polish their work.
